Urgent Concerns

If you feel you have an urgent concern with your pet, please call us. If the clinic is closed, please call the Animal Emergency Clinic of Rockford at (815) 229-7791.

We do not accept walk-ins.

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually, an urgent care team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Urgent issues can be things such as rat bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergent treatment do not hesitate to call our clinic.

Some of the most common pet urgent issues experienced in Belvidere, IL are:

  • Continuous coughing

  • Crying out in pain

  • Distended, "bloated" abdomen (GDV)

  • Difficulty with labor/delivery

  • Excessive bleeding

  • Extreme lethargy

  • Frostbite, hypothermia
